LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Palms Casino Resort is mourning the loss of "Uncle" Phil, the resort says, in response to reports of the death of Phil Maloof.
In an email to 13 Action News, a Palms spokesperson wrote:
The Palms family sends our deepest condolences to the Maloof Family in mourning the loss of their beloved "Uncle" Phil. He holds a special place in the property's history and he will be remembered fondly by our community.
According to the biography on his website, Maloof is described as a "man of sentiment and of simple pleasures."
