UPDATE: The victim's family has identified the deceased teen as Taylor J. Brantley.
Brantley's mother has just arrived in Las Vegas from California; family members tell Action News the mother was told by coroner's office that she will have to positively identify her son at the morgue in the morning, but he has tentatively been identified through tattoos and photos.
The family will begin making arrangements for a vigil and funeral on Saturday.

North Las Vegas police are on the scene of a shooting.
It happened on Friday afternoon around 4 p.m. at Mojave High School. Investigators tell Action News that one male was shot and transported to the hospital where he died.
According to police, the shooting followed a fight at the school. Police say about 40-50 people were in the area of the fight when the shooting took place.
The shooting occurred just a few feet off school property. The victim is believed to be a 16-year-old boy.
There are no reports of any other injuries.
