According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, over a million travelers are expected to pass through McCarran Airport this week, making Las Vegas a top travel destination for Thanksgiving.

Sunday is projected to be the busiest day during Thanksgiving weekend, while Thursday is expected to be the least busy.

Airport officials encourage travelers to arrive at least two hours before their flight to give themselves enough time to get through ticketing and security.

There is also traffic on the roads as people head into Las Vegas and out toward California, Arizona and Utah, but not nearly as bad as some other cities.
