One person is dead after a vehicle rolled over at the on-ramp of eastbound Interstate 215 to southbound Interstate 15 at 8:48 p.m. on Thursday.
Investigators say a silver 2005 Infiniti four sedan was traveling eastbound on the 215/I-15 southbound on ramp in the right travel lane. The driver failed to maintain his lane and entered into the left travel lane.
The driver over corrected and the Infiniti began to rotate clockwise and traveled off the roadway to the right.
The vehicle then entered into the rock embankment and overturned ejecting the unrestrained single occupant.
The male driver was transported to UMC Trauma where he was later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced deceased.
The male driver was identified as 33-year-old Harry Lienau from Henderson.
Driver impairment is under investigation and investigators believe that speed was a factor.
This marks the Nevada Highway Patrol-Southern Command’s 26th fatal crash resulting in 29 fatalities for 2016.
