Fire officials and police are cracking down on illegal fireworks this year.
Clark County Fire Department will be using heat maps to detect fireworks and planning on handing out more tickets this year.
Last year, more than 27,000 reports were received about illegal fireworks associated with Fourth of July but only 35 citations were given.
