The Oakland Raiders have filed trademark applications for Las Vegas Raiders, according to Forbes magazine.
The application was filed on Aug. 20 with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The Raiders reportedly filed for "Las Vegas Raiders" protection in several classes including education and entertainment services, clothing, mobile applications, football helmets, trading cards, jewelry and play figures.
The Southern Nevada Tourist Infrastructure Committee met on Thursday in Las Vegas for several hours to discuss the proposed stadium.
During the meeting, several renderings and a video of the proposed stadium were shown.
