LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — O.J. Simpson is getting a lot of attention online again -- this time for a tweet about the coronavirus and stockpiling of supplies.

The legendary football player and former inmate posted a photo of himself on Thursday outside of a local Costco with a load of water, toilet paper and paper towels. Simpson is also wearing a face mask in the photo and captioned the photo "Coronavirus? Who's afraid?"

The tweet had been liked more than 8,000 times and retweeted by more than 2,000 Twitter users by Friday morning.
Simpson, who lives in Las Vegas, has more than 900,000 followers on Twitter.
Although he talks mostly about sports on his Twitter account, he isn't shy about making his opinion known about a variety of subjects. He also recently posted about the controversial execution in Alabama.

Simpson has been living in Las Vegas since his release from prison in 2017.
He spent 8-1/2 years in prison after being convicted of kidnapping, armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon for an incident at Palace Station hotel-casino involving memorabilia that he believed belonged to him.

Simpson is often spotted around Las Vegas at various restaurants, bars and events. He also spends quite a bit of time on local golf courses.
