LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — NV Energy gave a demonstration this morning of what happens when a mylar balloon comes in contact with power lines.
The company says this is one of the leading causes of power outages in Southern Nevada.
Mylar balloons have a metallic finish and can catch fire when they tangle with power lines.
