LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Northern California saw some unusual weather for this time of year. Two tornadoes were reported in the area, which came as a surprise to residents.

The National Weather Service warned of possible damage in West Corning on Monday.
Nearly 5,000 people in Corning were without power during much of it.
From 2010 to 2020, the NWS says there were 39 tornadoes reported in the area averaging about four a year.
Just four days into 2021, Northern California has already seen two of them.
