UPDATE JAN. 19: A serious crash in North Las Vegas on Jan. 18 has left one person dead.
At about 5:50 p.m., officers responded to a crash near Cheyenne Avenue and Berg Street. The crash involved a pedestrian and a vehicle. Emergency personnel arrived and pronounced a 42-year-old female pedestrian dead at the scene.
Reports say a dark-colored Chevrolet truck was traveling eastbound on Cheyenne Avenue when it hit the woman at Berg Street.
Investigators are unaware of the speed of the truck, whether or not the woman was in a crosswalk, and who had the right of way. The 44-year-old driver of the truck was not injured and remained on scene.

NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- North Las Vegas Police are investigating a deadly crash near Cheyenne Avenue and Berg Street, which is close to Civic Center Drive.
The crash happened around 5:50 p.m. One person is confirmed dead. No other information is available at this time.
Roads near Cheyenne Avenue and Berg Street are closed as police investigate the crash.
