North Las Vegas Police are investigating a body found near East Owens Avenue and North Main Street Saturday morning.
Police responded to reports of shots fired around 6 a.m. When police arrived, they found a 51-year-old man on the ground with a gunshot wound. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
The man was identified as 51-year-old Marlon Porfirio Osorio-Rivera of Las Vegas.
The preliminary investigation indicates the man was on the sidewalk when he was shot. Police believe the man may have been robbed at the time of the shooting.
There is no suspect in custody at this time.
