UPDATE JULY 28: Police in North Las Vegas say the 63-year-old man, Thanh Cong Tran, also known as Oliver Tran, who went missing on June 11 has been found and identified.
Tran had checked into a local hospital under a different name and later passed due to health complications, police say. His family positively identified him earlier today.
The North Las Vegas Police Department would like to thank the community for its efforts in helping locate him.
The department also wants to remind the public to regularly stay in contact with loved ones. By conducting regular checks on your loved ones, it can increase the chances of having a greater outcome if medical care is needed.

NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Police need help locating a 63-year-old man who was last seen on June 11 in North Las Vegas.
63-year-old man, Thanh Cong Tran, also known as Oliver Tran, was reported missing by his family in Huntington Beach, California, after they were unable to contact him via phone. Oliver lives in North Las Vegas. NLVPD contacted his residence and was told he has not been seen since June 11.
Tran is described as an Asian male of Vietnamese descent, about 5-feet 7-inches tall and 130 pounds. He has grey hair and brown eyes.
Tran is diabetic and it is unknown if he has access to his medication.
All hospitals are asked to check their registries for Tran, or any John Doe matching the above description, and to notify police immediately if found. It should be noted that HIPAA permits disclosure upon request to law enforcement, and is authorized pursuant, 45 C.F.R. section 154.512.
