North Las Vegas City Council discussing new law to help rescue animals

Some big changes are coming to North Las Vegas pet stores on what animals are allowed to be sold.

The City Council is set to discuss a new law that would require those shops to only sell animals that come from shelters, rescues, or non-profits. The goal is to find homes for the animals already in our community and keep puppy mill animals out of pet stores.

Las Vegas passed a similar bill earlier in 2016.
