Nonprofit gives Nevada health care a 'D' grade

The Nevada Medical Center says the Nevada health care system is in need of serious improvement after they conducted a report on the state.

The NMC released a report card grade for Nevada and gave the state's health care practices a "D" grade. That's right, barely passing. This is news that will worry most residents here in the Las Vegas valley.

A major factor listed in the report was the rapid growth of population in Nevada and the decrease of medical providers.

For those searching for a silver lining, UNLV's new medical school could be the first step toward improving that grade and the overall quality of healthcare in Las Vegas.
