UPDATE: Coroner identifies victim of deadly hit and run

UPDATE OCT. 8: The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim of the hit and run as 67-year-old Victor Hutchings from North Las Vegas. His cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and it has been ruled an accident.

Law enforcement is looking for the driver who allegedly ran from the scene of a deadly crash early this morning.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the crash on northbound Interstate 15 near Mile Marker 79 in Clark County around 4:30 a.m.

Authorities say a car and a motorcycle were traveling northbound on I-15 approaching Mile Marker 78. The car was behind the motorcycle.

Troopers say the car hit the back of the motorcycle and the rider of the motorcycle was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene and will be identified by the coroner.

The driver of the car ran away and is still outstanding, NHP says. The car is described as a black Volkswagen four-door sedan.
