The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:28 P.M.
NHP is on the scene of a fatal crash on Sahara Ave. WB at I-15, with all lanes blocked. One person was confirmed deceased with reported delays at the scene.

9:02 P.M.
LVMPD officers responded to the area of Fort Apache and Flamingo roads for what appeared to be a single-vehicle collision. A female passenger was taken to an area hospital in critical condition with a light pole and county water box damaged. Road closures in place at the scene. READ UPDATE

UPDATE 6:40 A.M.
Crash is clear near I-15 and Charleston but there is still a bit of backup on the I-15 southbound.

6:30 A.M.
There is a crash on Interstate 15 southbound near Charleston Boulevard causing a backup all the way the Spaghetti Bowl (US-95/I-15). Plan for delays if this is on your commute.

5 A.M.
Road closures near Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue remain in effect after a deadly shooting involving the Las Vegas police department overnight. READ MORE

4 A.M.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to 3930 Howard Hughes Parkway, near Flamingo and Paradise roads. CCFD responded to an F3S building fire. The caller reported something on fire on the first floor of a high-rise building. Responding units included six engines, two ladder trucks, one EMS coordinator, three rescues, and two battalion chiefs. Upon arrival, personnel reported smoke coming from a pallet of paper located near an electrical panel. Firefighters engaged in an offensive attack and quickly extinguished the fire. The fire did not extend into the structure. Fire investigators were consulted, and the cause has not yet been determined. No injuries were reported.
