The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:45 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting in a parking lot near Tropicana Avenue and Nellis Boulevard. READ MORE.

7:19 P.M.
A motorcyclist is dead after a collision around 7:19 p.m. near South Pecos Road and East Rochelle Avenue. Police say a Buick turned into the path of an Indian motorcycle. The motorcyclist died at Sunrise Hospital. The 57-year-old driver of the Buick stayed on scene and did not appear impaired. The 63-year-old motorcyclist will be identified by the coroner.

10:15 A.M.
Las Vegas police were at the scene of an active barricade situation at a residence on Sleepy Fawn Drive near Sahara Avenue and Sloan Lane. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 8 a.m. to take someone into custody, but police say they refused to leave the residence. Police said they later found a man who shot himself inside the home.

10:10 A.M.
Las Vegas firefighters responded to a fire at a vacant home shortly before 10 a.m. near Sahara Avenue and the Interstate 15. No injuries to report.
