LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:50 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly shooting in the 2100 block of Industrial Road, near Sahara Avenue. Officers located Bradley Sappington, 54, shot and killed at that location. Homicide detectives said Sappington was in a car before the shooting occurred and then pushed out. The incident remains under investigation with the arrest of 27-year-old Alexander Buzz.

6:35 P.M.
Las Vegas firefighters were called to a fire inside a room on the 14th floor of the Plaza hotel-casino. Security used fire extinguishers to put out the blaze. No injuries were reported in the incident with normal operations at the hotel returning.

6 P.M.
Henderson police were called to a critical-injury crash at the intersection of Wiesner Way and Aspen Peak Loop, near Sam Boyd Stadium. Both drivers involved were transported to Sunrise Hospital with critical injuries. The collision remained under investigation with road closures expected until 10 p.m.

4:20 P.M.
A Las Vegas police officer was injured after his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle near the Boulevard Mall. A car made a left turn in front of the officer before the collision, according to police. The officer suffered minor injuries, and impairment was not suspected of the driver.
