The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
7 P.M. UPDATE
The deceased body at 1721 H Street was a child and detectives from The Abuse and Neglect Section have assumed the investigation. READ MORE.
6:45 P.M.
One person died and another was in the hospital following a crash between two motorcycles on Interstate-15 near mile marker 86. Both riders were thrown from their motorcycles during the crash and transported to UMC. Later, one of the riders died at the hospital identified as 59-year-old Jonathan Anderson Ruff from Arizona.
3:33 P.M.
LVMPD officers are on scene at 1721 H Street after the discovery of a dead body. There are not many details at this time. Police have H Street is closed in both directions from Weaver to Doolittle. Police are asking people to avoid the area.
5 A.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting outside a house party on Captains Hill Road near Durango and Alta drives. READ MORE
