The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8:50 P.M.
Las Vegas police report a person was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Rochelle Avenue and Durango Drive. Road closures were in place while authorities checked on the condition of the pedestrian.

8 P.M.
UPDATE NOV. 17: The Clark County Coroner has identified the decedent as 40-year-old Cesar Morales Torres. The coroner says he died of blunt force injuries. Methamphetamine intoxication was a contributing factor.

The Nevada Highway Patrol is reporting a fatal collision involving a pedestrian on NB Interstate 15 at MM 4 in Primm. Troopers have the left two lanes closed on the highway for the investigation.

11:31 A.M.
Las Vegas police say one person was shot in the 4200 block of North Nellis Boulevard near Las Vegas Boulevard. The injury appears to non-life threatening. No one has been arrested at this time. READ MORE.

7:25 A.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a possible explosive device at the Shelter Island Apartments near Twain Avenue and University Center. No injuries reported at this time. The call about the device was received at 4:56 a.m.
