LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
7:45 P.M. UPDATE
Las Vegas police say a man in his mid-20s was stabbed after a confrontation at Indian Hills Apartments at 4550 West Sahara Avenue this evening. Police believe that the victim yelled at a car that was driving too fast near where children were playing. The driver of the car got out and the two men got in a fight. The driver stabbed the man and then drove away. Police do not believe the two men knew each other. Police are still investigating this incident.
6:20 P.M.
Homicide detectives are investigating an incident at Indian Hills apartment complex on Sahara Avenue near Decatur Boulevard. Crews responded shortly after 5 p.m. No other details were released by authorities. Check back for updates.
7:54 A.M.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police report a fatal crash involving an RTC bus and six other vehicles near the intersection of South Rainbow Boulevard and West Tropicana Avenue. One person is dead and multiple victims have been transported to local hospitals. Officials believe that impairment of one of the drivers is a factor in the crash. Roads are severely restricted in the area and commuters are advised to avoid the area. READ MORE
OVERNIGHT
Henderson Police officials report a single vehicle fatal crash occurred on North Boulder Highway, just north of Merlayne Drive shortly after midnight. Officials say that a 2004 Chevy Sedan was traveling north on Boulder Hwy when it crossed two lanes of traffic, went off the road and struck a tree and fence. The 33-year-old female driver, who was the only occupant, was ejected from the sedan. She was transported to Sunrise Trauma where she succumbed to her injuries. She was later identified by the coroner as Tanyia Johnson. Police said speed was a factor but did not know if impairment was a cause.
