UPDATE 7:37 P.M.
Further details gathered from Clark County Fire Department reveal that the fire was found in an electrical/mechanical room. This room is located in the outdoor pool area on the fourth floor. Firefights say the fire has been extinguished and there were no evacuations necessary. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries to report.
UPDATE 7:14 P.M.
Clark County Fire Department says crews responded to reports of a fire at The Cosmopolitan shortly before 6:20 p.m. The fire department assigned 7 engines, 3 rescues, 2 battalion chiefs, and an EMS coordinator to the incident. Upon arrival, crews were assigned to investigate and reported smoke and flame coming from the outdoor pool area. There have been no reported injuries. Details are still being gathered and will be released when more information is known.
6:58 P.M.
Crews are responding to a "small structure fire" at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on the Strip, according to police.

2:45 P.M.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue units responded to Payless Cleaners, located at 4275 N. Rancho Dr. A mechanical malfunction started the fire but firefighters were able to prevent the spread of flames in the attic. Damage was estimated at $75,000 with no injuries reported.
1:25 P.M.
The Henderson Police Department is working an active scene in the area of South Eastern Avenue and West Horizon Ridge parkway. They are asking people to avoid the area. READ MORE

12:55 P.M.
The Clark County School District police report an 11-year-old at Del Webb Middle School was taken into custody for bringing a gun to school Monday. The sixth-grader had the gun on a bus and no threats were made but a Glock 9mm was found in the school's landscaping. The school was placed on a soft lockdown with information passed to authorities.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is on the scene of a fire at 7598 Vegas Drive near Buffalo Road.
