The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

11:25 P.M.
Nye County Sheriff’s Office says authorities and rescue units were able to rescue a stranded hiker who was stuck on a mountainside about a 1,000 feet high without any injuries.

9:55 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a man's death after he was run over by a Ford SUV while he was sleeping in an alley at 724 N. Ninth St. Police say the SUV was a Ford model from the late 90s or early 2000s. Anyone with further information on the incident was urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

10:30 A.M.
Nye County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a helicopter crash at the Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club on Route 160. According to NCSO, the helicopter crashed into a lake. The Federal Aviation Administration says it was a Robinson R-44 helicopter with three people aboard. No injuries have been reported at this time.
