Las Vegas breaking news for November 26, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for November 26, 2018. 

4:30 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating reports of a shooting near a bus stop on Lamont Street near Nellisoasis Lane. The nearest major cross streets are Nellis Boulevard and Gowan Road. A person was transported to University Medical Center with a head injury, possibly from a crowbar. Police have detained several people who might be related to the incident.

4:15 P.M.

Clark County School District police confirm the lockdown at Culley Elementary School was lifted around 3:50 p.m. The woman in question was not found and police are unsure whether she had a firearm.  

2:30 P.M.

Paul E. Culley Elementary School is on lockdown after reports of a possible person with a gun on school property. Clark County School District police are clearing the school to make sure the person is not on campus. Police report there is no threat nor violence associated with the call. Some students and teachers are remaining in their classrooms as a precaution.
