The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8 P.M.
LVMPD says they responded to a 7-Eleven at 2409 Tam Dr. after a confrontation between a man and a store clerk escalated to a shooting. Police say the man fired several shots outside the store and an adult female victim was struck at least one time. After the shooting police say the man and a female companion left south on foot toward Sahara Avenue. The woman shot was transported to the hospital where she is in critical condition.

4:57 P.M
Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in a high rise at 4505 Maryland Parkway. A “high-level” response was dispatched sending 5 Engines, 1 Truck, 1 Rescue, and 2 Battalion Chiefs. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a small fire in a laundry room located on the third floor. The fire was contained to the area of origin by the building's sprinkler system and was extinguished by fire personnel. An evacuation was not necessary and no injuries were reported to occupants or firefighters. A total of 28 personnel responded to the incident.

3:16 P.M.
LVMPD responded to a crash on Warm Springs and Durango between a vehicle and a person. The person was taken to UMC Trauma in unknown condition, however, was conscious and alert when transported. All lanes in the intersection are blocked. Use other routes, expect delays.

2:05 P.M.
Road closures are in effect near Paradise Road and St. Louise Avenue following a deadly crash involving a pedestrian. READ MORE

12:11 P.M.
All lanes are blocked on Flamingo Road west of Boulder Highway due to police activity. Avoid the area and check back for updates.
