The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

6:25 P.M.
The NLVPD reported a barricade situation in the 4300 block of Yorkwood Drive ended peacefully with a person taken into custody. The person was charged with discharging a firearm within or from a structure with other charges possibly pending.

4:10 P.M.
Nye County authorities said they were investigating a homicide on Mount Charleston Drive. One person was repeatedly killed in a shooting.

2:24 P.M.
The North Las Vegas Police Department is currently investigating an armed barricaded subject in the 4300 block of Yorkwood Drive (near West Alexander Road and Valley Drive). The Crisis Negotiation Team, Detectives and SWAT are on scene. The surrounding area is being evacuated out of an abundance of caution. The public is encouraged to stay away from the area of West Alexander Road and Valley Drive.

As this is still an active and open investigation, no further information or details are available at this time.

OVERNIGHT
The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at the Pueblo Del Sol Motor Home Park, 3751 S. Nellis Blvd, Space 111, shortly before 2:20 a.m. Crews had the fire knocked down around 2:42 a.m. American Red Cross responded to the scene and provided assistance to the two occupants who were displaced due to the damage. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
