The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE 11 P.M.
North Las Vegas police say two shootings that happened between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. may be related, though it's too early to say.

Henderson police say two officers are involved in the shooting near Warm Springs Road and Marks Street. READ MORE

8:30 P.M.
North Las Vegas police say four people have been shot in two separate shootings.

The first occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Honey Locust Drive, near Washburn Road and Commerce Street. Two men were shot and are being treated for non life threatening injuries. No other details were immediately available.

The second shooting occured around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Rome Boulevard near McCarran Street, police say. One 18-year-old woman is in critical condition after being shot in the head. A man was brought to the hospital in unknown condition after being shot. No other details were immediately available, check back for updates.

7:50 P.M.
The Henderson Police Department is currently working an active scene near the intersection of W Warm Springs Road and Marks Street (near Stephanie Street). Avoid the area.

12:40 P.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to a fire at 6320 W. Tropical Parkway. A bedridden woman was transported to a hospital to be checked out and another person was transported because of difficulty breathing. The cause of the fire appears to be cooking. 3 people displaced.
