The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE JAN. 20: The Clark County Coroner has identified the man as 30-year-old Alton Murray. Murray's death was due to blunt head trauma and it was ruled an accident.

UPDATE:
Police say that on Nov. 26, the suspect in this incident below was pronounced deceased at Sunrise Hospital. His identity was not released at this time.

10:05 A.M.
Authorities in Las Vegas are responding to an incident on Desert Inn Road between Valley View and Paradise. All lanes blocked in both directions. Use other routes.

According to police, a man ran from officers after a hit-and-run crash on Spring Mountain Road and Valley View Boulevard shortly before 9 a.m. As he was running, he ran into traffic and was hit by a car. He was transported to a hospital. Roads are closed as police investigate.

Police in Las Vegas are investigating a homicide on Villa Knolls Drive, near Tropicana Avenue and Sandhill Road. READ MORE
