The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:45 P.M.

Update (5/11/20): The Clark County Coroner has identified the decedent as 19-year-old Trayvone Dixon from Las Vegas. His cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, a homicide.

Homicide detectives are responding to an incident at an apartment complex in the 4900 block of South Maryland Parkway, just north of the UNLV campus.

UPDATE MAY 6: Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives determined the suspect approached the victim to purchase illegal narcotics outside of an apartment.

There was a dispute over the transaction, and they entered the apartment to resolve the issue. A short time later, the suspect shot the victim and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black male adult, heavy set wearing a black hoodie and black mask. The identification of the victim as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

11:30 A.M.

Update: (5/11/20): The Clark County Coroner has identified the man as 40-year-old Justin Thomas Charland from Las Vegas. He was killed by multiple gunshot wounds, homicide.

Las Vegas police say they are investigating a shooting involving the department on S Sandhill Road, near E Vegas Valley Drive and Lamb Boulevard. 13 Action News is at the scene, check back for updates.

10:14 A.M.

UPDATE (5/22/20): The Clark County Coroner has identified the man whose body was found as 38-year-old Richard Andre Turner. He was killed by a stab wound to the neck, a homicide.

Las Vegas police are investigating a body found near the wash off of Cambridge Street between East Flamingo Road and Twain Avenue. Homicide detectives are on the scene. No other information is available at this time.
