9:45 P.M.

Las Vegas police say an injury collision occurred at the intersection of Desert Inn and Valley View between a police unit and another vehicle. Both of the involved drivers were taken to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition. Eastbound Desert Inn and northbound Valley View will be closed for the next 1 to 2 hours while the scene is investigated. 

5:28 P.M.

Las Vegas police say that a vehicle fell on an employee at an auto shop at 3055 Fremont Street, near Charleston Boulevard. The incident happened around 4:50 p.m. Police say the employee is dead. READ MORE.

OVERNIGHT

A fire caused $15,000 in damage to a patio at a home near Comstock Drive and Washington Avenue. It happened around 11:48 p.m. Saturday. Firefighters say they were able to put the fire out in 15 minutes. Investigators say it started on a sofa that was on the patio, and careless smoking could not be ruled out as the cause. One firefighter sustained a sprain while fighting to the fire and was taken to the hospital.
