A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle near Jack Leavitt Street and Le Baron Avenue, not far from Maryland Parkway and Silverado Ranch Boulevard. It is near Charles Silvestri Middle School. The pedestrian, identified as a male juvenile, died at Sunrise Hospital. READ STORY

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a fatal crash near the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Brush Street near Decatur Boulevard. READ STORY
11 A.M.
The vacant Rummel Motel at 1809 S. Las Vegas Blvd., near St. Louis Avenue, caught fire. Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said the building has caught fire before. People were seen leaving the building Friday, possibly squatters. No injuries have been reported. Northbound Las Vegas Boulevard is closed in the area.

6:02 A.M.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at a Siegel Suites apartment complex at 905 East Twain Avenue near Swenson Street. Firefighters reported smoke and flames coming from a two-story apartment building. Crews knocked the fire down at a reported time of 6:14 a.m.
Firefighters contained the fire to a single apartment and no injuries were reported.
OVERNIGHT
Mohave County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call of a single vehicle rollover accident on Diamond Bar Road around 9:48 p.m. Thursday. The reporting party advised the vehicle was on its roof and the single occupant inside the vehicle appeared to be deceased. 20-year-old James Atherton, of Dolan Springs, wearing his safety belt, drove off the road and collided with a safety barrier, with speed being a contributing factor. No signs of alcohol or drugs were observed by deputies. Atherton was pronounced deceased at the scene.
