LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
7:35 P.M.
UPDATE 3/26/20:
The Clark County Coroner has identified the decedent in the crash as 54-year-old Raymond Williamson.
Las Vegas police responded to a fatal crash involving a single vehicle at the corner of South Las Vegas Boulevard and East Silverado Ranch Boulevard. Police say the man driving was the only occupant and that he crashed into a light pole and utility box. It is unknown at this time what caused the crash and detectives are investigating. The intersection will be shut down for several hours.
3:23 P.M.
Las Vegas police say that a patient that came into Summerlin Hospital for a mental evaluation became irate and broke the hospital's bay doors. The man then left and police found him in the parking lot. He was taken into custody without further incident. The hospital placed themselves on a brief lockdown which lasted less than 10 minutes. The hospital's services were not interrupted because of the incident.
