The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

3:20 P.M.
Henderson police reported detectives were working a homicide investigation that started on March 9. Officers were called to a home in the 1400 block of Bonner Springs Drive, near Eastern Avenue and Reunion Drive, and located a deceased 70-year-old man. The situation remains under investigation. 1:55 P.M.
Red Rock Elementary School is on soft lockdown after a barricade situation on Michelleanne Road, near US-95 and Decatur Boulevard.

Las Vegas police say they responded to a 911 call from a woman just before 10: 30 a.m. claiming her ex-roommate was trying to break down her door. When police arrived, the ex-roommate got in his car and refused to get out. Officials believe he is armed with a box cutter or knife. Stay tuned for updates.

1:23 P.M.
Joshua Buckingham, the man accused of driving more than 100 mph before a deadly crash in Boulder City, has been released on $50,000 bail. Buckingham paid $5,000, or 10%, for his release. READ MORE
