The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE MARCH 11:
On March 10 about 2:30 p.m. a Republic Services garbage truck was traveling eastbound on Summerlin Parkway, east of the Rampart off ramp. At the same time, a white male adult entered the truck’s travel lane from the right shoulder and was struck by the right side of the truck. The pedestrian was taken to UMC where he died from his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 7:29 a.m. on March 11.

3:25 P.M
Summerlin Parkway is closed eastbound at Rampart due to a crash between a truck and pedestrian. NHP says a man was struck by a Republic Services truck and is in critical condition at UMC Trauma. Police investigators are on the scene. Expect major delays, find alternate routes.

UPDATE 9:13 A.M.
Two Clark County School District staff members were transported to UMC in unknown condition following a crash in involving an overturned school bus this morning on 215 near S. Buffalo, according to school police. No students were on the bus at the time of the crash. READ ORIGINAL REPORT
