This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for June 9, 2018.

3 P.M.

Las Vegas police say the driver now has moderate injuries in the crash near Frederick Avenue and Gregory Street. 

1:40 P.M.

A fire was reported in a house in the 100 block of Emden Drive, located near Major Avenue and Warm Springs Road in Henderson around 11:30 a.m. The fire spread to the backyards of two other houses while the initial house that caught fire suffered significant damage due to high winds fueling the fire. One Henderson firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion. 

12:15 P.M.

A person was transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition after driving a sedan into concrete wall at the end of Frederick Avenue, near Gregory Street, not far from Owens Avenue and D Street. It appears speeding was a contributing factor in the crash around 9:45 a.m. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. The intersection of Frederick and Gregory is closed. 

10 A.M.

Police are on the scene of a homicide in the 2500 block of Ellis Street near Carey Avenue and Pecos Road. A male was found inside with a gunshot wound. This is the same area where 3 people were shot on Friday morning. Saturday's shooting is believed to be related.
