The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE 12:35 P.M.

UPDATE (6/8/20): The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim as 29-year-old Edward Barr from North Las Vegas. The cause of death was gunshot wounds, homicide.

Las Vegas police say they found a man who had been shot in front of Harbor Island Apartments on Harmon Avenue, near Koval Lane, after receiving a 9-1-1 call from a maintenance worker around 10:20 a.m. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene with police not releasing an immediate motive for the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with further information was urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

Homicide investigation in Las Vegas

11:30 A.M.
Las Vegas police say they are investigating a homicide at 370 East Harmon Avenue, near Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane. No other information was immediately available. They are expected to brief the media with an update at 12:30 p.m. Check back for updates.
