9:33 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue says a hiker tripped and fell on the mountain of Cliff Shadows Open Desert Park. Authorities say that person rolled about 5 feet and hit their head. The injury was serious enough, firefighters say, the person could not get down on their own and was rescued by crews. They were taken to the hospital.
