The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

11:38 P.M.
A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a truck near Charleston Boulevard and Orville Street. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk. The driver stayed on the scene and is not suspected of being impaired.

9 P.M.
Fire crews on scene of fire on Welpman Way near Henderson Executive Airport. Crews hauled in water and extra help but were unable to save home. There were no fire hydrants in the area. No one was injured.

2:25 P.M.
The person who was transported after the crash on I-15 southbound near Jean earlier today has died. The interstate was closed temporarily while the crash could be cleared. Travel lanes have since reopened. READ MORE.

2:09 P.M.
Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire at 224 Valley Forge Ave. in Henderson.

2:04 P.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue are on the scene of a house fire at 8261 Cimarron Ridge Drive. READ MORE

1:27 P.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is on the scene of a two-alarm house fire at 2126 Stewart Avenue.

OVERNIGHT
Fire crews were busy overnight with 2 fires. One fire was at the Westgate near a laundry chute and the other left 3 people in Henderson without a place to say. Several pets died in the other fire at a home in Henderson. Fire officials say that fire was caused by an electrical problem. It happened near Patrick and Whitney Ranch. 5 pets died but firefighters were able to rescue 3.
