A fatal crash has been reported in Esmeralda County involving a vehicle versus a motorcycle on U.S. 6, about 15 miles west of Tonopah. U.S. 6 is closed in both directions.

Two vehicles were involved in a fatal crash near Lake Mead Boulevard and Mount Hood Street. Officers say a person was pronounced dead on the scene and they are investigating whether impairment was a factor. READ MORE

OVERNIGHT
A man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash that occurred at 9:43 p.m. last night on West Sunset Road near the 215 Beltway.
Police say that 46-year-old Vernon Williams was traveling eastbound on West Sunset Road on his 2013 Harley Davidson when it overturned onto its right side and slid across the raised median. Williams was thrown from the motorcycle when it hit the median and he then slid to a stop in the roadway.
Williams to the University Medical Center Trauma where he remains in critical condition. Officers say Williams was wearing a novelty helmet at the time of the crash.
