12:41 P.M.
Las Vegas police confirm that homicide detectives are on the scene of the shooting on North Pecos Road near Las Vegas Boulevard. No other information has been provided. READ MORE

11:15 A.M.
Las Vegas police officers are currently investigating a shooting in the 2900 block of North Pecos Road near Las Vegas Boulevard. At this time, officers are on scene with two victims. Medical attention is being summoned at this time. No word of road closures.

9 A.M.
Las Vegas police have confirmed they are investigating a homicide near Tropicana Avenue and Durango Drive. It was reported around 12:30 a.m. No other information is available.

7 A.M.
UPDATE (8/3/2020): The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim as 96-year-old Richard Jones of Las Vegas. The cause of death was strangulation with blunt force injuries to his head and chest as contributing factors. The death was ruled a homicide.

Las Vegas police are on the scene of an incident on South Van Carol Drive near Tropicana Avenue and Durango Drive. At this time, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is refusing to comment. FULL STORY
