The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE 3:50 P.M.
Police say the fatal crash in the 2200 block of Casade Street appears to have been an intentional crash. The driver of the vehicle has died. The pit bull that was shot by police is also dead.

1:45 P.M.
Police are on the scene of a fatal crash in the 2200 block of Cascade Street near Nellis Boulevard and East Sahara Avenue. Additionally, a dog has been shot by a police officer at that location. Police say that a pit bull charged an officer who had approached a house in the neighborhood to talk to the residents. The officers on the scene attempted to catch the dog first but were unable to stop it.

OVERNIGHT
A 37-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured after hitting a curb and fence on Durango Drive south of Reno Avenue. It happened around 11:17 p.m. He was transported to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries.
