The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
11:10 A.M.
UPDATE (7/8/20): The man succumbed to his wounds later that night and the Clark County Coroner has identified him as 44-year-old Gildardo Ayala-Mendia. His cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries, an accident.
Henderson Police says that a pedestrian was hit by a semi-truck traveling east on Lake Mead Parkway near Boulder Highway shortly after 11 a.m. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. Speed nor impairment appear to be factors in this incident at this time. Eastbound Lake Mead at Boulder Highway will be closed for approximately 2-3 hours.
9:49 A.M.
At approximately 9:49 am, the Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) responded to a report of a shed on fire at 5784 Willow Oak Circle near East Charleston Boulevard and Sloan. CCFD was assisted by Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, responding to an F3H high-level structural fire and assigned five engines, one truck, one rescue, two battalion chiefs, and one Air Resource. Upon arrival, personnel reported heavy smoke and flames from the shed building and debris in the yard, with the fire spreading to the roof, a single-family residential home. Firefighters made an offensive attack and were able to knock the fire involving the home at a reported time of 10:04 am. Damage has not been estimated, and the cause of the fire has not been determined as this is still an active fire scene.
7:30 A.M.
Henderson Police Department is looking for a missing endangered adult named Jimmie Richard. He may need medical assistance and may be in mental distress.
He was last seen around 6 p.m. July 1 in the area of Galleria Drive and Gibson Road. He may be driving a 2011 black BMW 328i.
Richard is 6-feet tall and 150 pounds. He has brown hair and black eyes.
All hospitals are asked to check their registries for the missing man. Anyone with information should call the HPD at 702-267-5000.
2:57 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responding to garage fire on Hart Avenue near Martin Luther King and Lake Mead boulevards. One person taken to hospital for minor smoke inhalation.

12:36 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue says a truck was destroyed by fire around 12:30 a.m. at Knickerbocker Park. Spent fireworks were found in back of truck. No injuries reported.
