The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:37 P.M.
Las Vegas police say they are investigating a homicide on Za Zu Pitts Avenue near Vegas Valley Drive and Hollywood Boulevard. The 911 call came in at 8:49 p.m., police say. No other information was immediately available. 13 Action News has a crew on the scene. Police are expected to share an update soon, check back for updates.

11:40 A.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting in a parking lot in the 5100 block of Maryland Parkway, south of Tropicana Avenue. One person was transported to Sunrise Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities also said two people have been detained in connection with the incident.

10:31 A.M.
Las Vegas police have confirmed that a female motorcyclist in her early 20s was killed this morning during a crash near Decatur Boulevard and Diablo Drive (between Russell Road and Hacienda Avenue). Police say they don't believe speed or impairment were factors, but did not give any other details. Road closures are still in place.

The motorcyclist has been identified by the Clark County Coroner as 20-year-old Nicole Marie Corbeil of Phoenix.

8:11 A.M.
Las Vegas police are on the scene of a crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle near Russell Road and Decatur Boulevard. Lane closures are in affect. The crash may be fatal.
