Interstate 15 near Primm is closed in both directions due to police activity, according to Nevada Highway Patrol. Avoid the area. READ MORE
5:59 P.M.
A pedestrian is dead after being his by a BMW while crossing the street outside of a crosswalk on Pecos Road south of Tropicana Avenue. The driver of the BMW stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. FULL STORY.

Clark County Fire Department respond to structure fire at 1325 E. Tropicana Ave.
5 A.M.
Police are asking for the public’s help with a homicide investigation in North Las Vegas. A man was found shot to death near West Ann Road and Clayton Street. His identity hasn’t been released, but police say he’s believed to be in his 20s and lives near the area where he was found. No arrests have been made at this point. This is the second homicide investigation for North Las Vegas Police this year. The first occurred on Jan. 2, when officers were involved in a fatal shooting after a chase and crash. No officers were injured in that incident. Police investigated 22 homicides in North Las Vegas in 2019.
The Clark County coroner later identified the deceased as 25-year-old Sidney McKnight from North Las Vegas. His cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a homicide.
4:55 A.M.
Clark County Fire Department is on the scene of a 2-alarm fire at 4350 Sandy River Drive near Decatur Boulevard and Flamingo Road. CCFD says that firefighters say smoke and flame coming from a 2-story apartment building upon arrival and requested additional help. Firefighters immediately began fighting the fire outside while other firefighters were sent to the roof to cut holes to slow the progress of the fire, which was in the attic space. All occupants were safely evacuated and no injuries have been reported. Early reports are that 4 unites were affected. American Red Cross is responding.
