The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
FEB. 3 UPDATE: The Clark County Coroner has identified the decedent as 60-year-old Mark Theodore Streit from Las Vegas. His cause of death was due to blunt force injuries and it was ruled an accident.
UPDATE 8 P.M.
Henderson police say a 60-year-old man is dead after a crash around 12:25 p.m. involving a box truck in the area of Via Garda Drive and Roma Hills Drive (near West Horizon Ridge and Green Valley parkways). Authorities say the box truck was backing up out of the drive of the subdivision with help from the man. For reasons unknown, the man fell into the path of the backing vehicle. It backed over him, causing severe injuries. The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Police believe the incident was accidental and impairment was not a factor. This is still an active and open investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call the Henderson Police Department at 702-267-4911, 3-1-1, or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
7:19 P.M.
UPDATE MARCH 11: The Clark County Coroner has identified the woman as 52-year-old Debra Durkin. Her death was due to multiple blunt force injuries and it was ruled an accident.
Las Vegas police say a woman in her 40s was hit and killed by an SUV while walking near Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards. Officers say she was outside of a marked crosswalk and say she crossed into the vehicle's path. She was rushed to UMC Trauma where she died.
6:10 P.M.
Tropicana Avenue westbound is shutdown between Decatur Boulevard and Edmond Street following a single-vehicle crash in which the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a large boulder for unknown reasons, according to police.
The driver is suspected by authorities of DUI. According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, he is alive but in a critical condition either due to a medical condition or due to consuming a narcotic. Police say he is expected to survive. The crash remains under investigation.
UPDATE 5:55 P.M.
All lanes are now open on Charleston Boulevard between Las Vegas Boulevard and 7th Street following a deadly crash in the area shortly before 3 p.m.
3:40 P.M.
Henderson Police Department responded to the Galleria at Sunset Mall parking lot in reference to reports of shots being fired. Officers were informed of a verbal fight in the parking lot between a man and a woman. Police believe the woman fired one round from a handgun. No one was injured. Both parties remained at the scene, according to authorities. The investigation remains ongoing and there are no further details to report at this time.
3:32 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly crash near East Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards. Police say a woman was hit by a vehicle around 2:45 p.m. and transported to UMC Trauma where she was pronounced dead.
Charleston is closed in both directions from Las Vegas Boulevard to 7th Street, according to the RTC.

12:24 P.M.
Henderson Police are on the scene of a fatal crash involving a car and a pedestrian near Via Garda and Roma Hills drives (West Horizon Ridge and Green Valley parkways). All traffic is being diverted from the community gated area until completion of the investigation, which is estimated to be approximately 2-4 hours.
