The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
7:45 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a critical crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Twain Avenue and Jones Boulevard. Police said it's not clear if the person was inside a crosswalk at the time of the collision, but the pedestrian was critically injured. Road closures are in place at the scene for the investigation.
2:30 P.M.
Police are on the scene of an incident in the 2100 block of La Sombra Street near Jones Boulevard and West Smoke Ranch Road. Police say that someone threatened another person with a machete and is now refusing to leave the residence. Police said the situation was later resolved with a person taken into custody.
11 A.M.
Las Vegas fire officials say there is an electrical fire at Bally's on the Strip.

Police are at an apartment complex near Warm Springs Road and Eastern Avenue. Chopper 13 is over the area and there is a noticeable crime scene. We are waiting for more information from authorities, stay tuned for possible updates.

Chopper 13 is over a home that caught fire near Town Center Drive and Summerlin Parkway. Crews are still on the scene. No word yet on what caused the fire.
