LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
4:32 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting near West Cheyenne Avenue and Michael Way. The preliminary investigation shows that an argument happened between two people or two groups of people. One person then shot someone in the leg during the argument. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
12:45 P.M.
Las Vegas police said they investigating a homicide scene in the 800 block of East Twain Avenue, near Swenson Street. They said more information will be released about the active investigation. FULL STORY
11:15 A.M. UPDATE
Police said the man involved in a barricade situation in a home inside the Mountains Edge community has been taken into custody without incident.
7:05 A.M.
Las Vegas police are working a barricade situation in the 10000 block of Emerald Pool Street, in the Mountains Edge community. Officers said they were called for a domestic violence incident and the male suspect was not exiting the home to speak to them. Roads inside the gated community were blocked for the active scene, but no initial word of any injuries were reported.
