Las Vegas breaking news for December 30, 2018

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

7:41 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle that happened at East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Lamb Boulevard. The truck was traveling east on Lake Mead Boulevard and attempted to make a left turn onto northbound Lamb Boulevard when there was a collision with the motorcycle that was traveling westbound on Lake Mead Boulevard. It was not stated which vehicle was at fault. The motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition. Impairment is not suspected.

5:50 A.M.

Las Vegas police responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian near Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard. Sahara Avenue was closed east of Las Vegas Boulevard for the investigation. Officers said a 23-year-old man was crossing the street in a crosswalk but against a walk sign before the collision occurred.

3:15 A.M.

Las Vegas officers responded to a shooting at 4405 W. Flamingo Rd., west of Arville Street. Two people were shot during the incident but were expected to survive. Police did not immediately report any arrests.

12:05 A.M.

A Vegas police officer was involved in a minor car crash with another vehicle at the intersection of Harmon Avenue and Jones Boulevard. The intersection was closed for the investigation. Authorities did not immediately release who was at fault for the crash.
