Nevada Highway Patrol and Nevada Department of Transportation say that State Route 160 at Pahrump Valley Road is closed in both directions due to flooding. Please avoid the area.

5:50 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly shooting shortly before 6 a.m. on Shinyleaf Circle, near Charleston and Nellis boulevards, in east Las Vegas. A man in his early 20s was shot and killed as he tried to stop another man from breaking into his father's vehicle, police say. READ FULL STORY.

4:10 P.M.
Clark County Fire Department says it responded to a report of a kitchen on fire at 4775 Frontier Street, near Decatur Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road. Crews were able to knock the fire down at 4:21 p.m., authorities say. It is unknown if anyone was displaced due to the fire.
