The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:31 P.M.
Two people have died in a wrong way crash on Interstate 15 southbound near Sloan, according to Nevada Highway Patrol. Traffic is being diverted off I-15 SB at the Sloan exit, authorities say. Vehicles can take old Las Vegas Boulevard southbound to Jean and enter back onto the I-15 southbound.

This crash is the third wrong-way crash in the Las Vegas area in just three weeks. All three crashes had one thing in common. READ MORE

9:09 P.M.
Las Vegas police say a car crashed into a patrol vehicle after "driving recklessly at a high rate of speed" and hitting another car in a separate crash.

The car first hit a vehicle near Twain Avenue and Palos Verdes Street around 8:30 p.m., police say. The driver failed to stop at the scene and continued on Twain Avenue towards Swenson Street where it then hit the patrol vehicle moments later.

The driver was taken into custody and is being arrested, according to authorities. It is unknown if impairment was a factor.

Officers were not injured. Police say the others involved -- including the arrested driver -- had minor, non life threatening injuries.

No one has been transported to the hospital, police say.

Twain Avenue and Swenson Street are shut down in all directions until traffic officers finish their investigation.

Twain Avenue is shut down eastbound at Palos Verdes Street as well.

5:30 P.M.
The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified 24-year-old David Mathew Bacon as the motorcycle rider killed in a crash with a pickup truck in Henderson, on Warm Springs Road near Grayson Circle, on Nov. 27. READ ORIGINAL COVERAGE

The coroner's office has also identified 34-year-old John Anthony Turner as the man who died in a separate crash on Thanksgiving on US-95 near Lake Mead Boulevard shortly before 5:30 p.m. READ ORIGINAL COVERAGE

The coroner's office has identified 54-year-old Charles James Rutter as the man found dead in a fire at a vacant building in downtown Las Vegas. The cause of death and manner are still pending. READ ORIGINAL COVERAGE

3 P.M.
Las Vegas police confirm that incident near Nellis Boulevard and Stewart Avenue is over. The man involved in the barricade has been arrested without incident. Nellis Boulevard has reopened. No other information available.

12:50 P.M.
Las Vegas police are on the scene of a barricade near Nellis Boulevard and Stewart Avenue. Nellis Boulevard is closed between Stewart Avenue and Charleston Boulevard. Residents in the area are being evacuated. Police say that an armed male is barricaded in a residence in the 100 block of Bel Port Drive. FBI and SWAT are also on the scene.

6:15 A.M.
Clark County Fire Department is on the scene of a 2-alarm fire at 5150 Amanda Lane near Sandhill Road and Tropicana Avenue. CCFD says the high-level fire was reported by multiple callers. Firefighters discovered fire on both floors of the home when they arrived. A search of the home revealed that is vacant. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
